Sad to hear that. I'm too young to remember original Likely Lads with any clarity but 'What Ever Happened To..' was compulsory viewing in my teens.

Almost too young for both here.

I love this type of program. Local chat, humor accents. Speech that is colourful, concise and funny.

I try to catch them on the more obscure channels whenever they are on.

Funnily enough I mentioned the Likely Lads here www.car4play.com/forum/post/index.htm?v=e&t=25121&m=553516 yesterday.

Being born and brought up in the North East I completely identified with Terry in the 60' s original ....but I eventually have become Middle Class Bob....

James Bolam lives near to me now and I occasionally see him or his wife Susan Jameson in the local town.

Rodney Bewes apparently never forgave Bolam for not allowing repeats of the series.

I thought it was more the case that Bolam (an intensely private man) never forgave Bewes for making public things about his private life.
