There used to be a book which listed pubs and cafes just off the motorways and provided better value than the motorway ones... I think I'd rather have that if its still around!

Thats a better way of looking at it,on my way to Dover I had to stop at Toddington services it was horrible just going for a "P "I could not imagine eating there.

Thanks for this Movi. Looking at the list interestingly i have visited quite a few of these in my time. Travelling the country for 30 odd yrs site to site in construction. By the way there is a service station on the M18 near me i think its called Thorne. I think its missed of the list.

Also A1(M) at Wetherby, which is OK, mostly 'cos it's new.
Marks and Sparks, W H Smith, Costa Coffee, two or three other food concessions, large separate fuel station - with another shop - and one of those lodge places to stop overnight.

I didn't know there was one at Wetherby either. I think this area i recollect had a big roundabout in the past, and now there are run offs. This they must now have incorpurated some service's.

Its a massive new service area at the north side of the new wetherby bypass very very expensive better to to drop into the town.
