I sold my 330 convertible to my nephew after 6.5 years of 100% reliability. The roof now opens half way, the windows go down, all of their own accord!
I promised to help find out the cause before he part ex's at a local garage.... Probably damp somewhere, and he doesn't want to spend hundreds of ££ at a local main dealer.
Any pointers or advice would be very grateful from both parties!

Either faulty:

1. electronic control module housed under the dashboard on the right hand side, or in the footwell. I had a BMW 5 series which used to switch things on and off randomly. Fault was traced to water ingress in to LCM.

or

2. door actuator.
