We supposed to trust people who have the knowledge and experience.If they decide to cheat due to advertising hype what can we do?

Wasn't the US decision to rig the numbers, based on the cost of feasible Nox reduction measures? Delete option exercised by bean counters, therefore engineers provided a way to disguise the omission, using built-in Bosch code.
