'Fundamentalists' of both religions claim the Bible/Koran bans the practice.
Can't speak for the Koran (I've not read it) but of the Bible, only the old testament appears to ban homosexuality. However, that 'evidence' is dependant on translation, and even if if did, the same book (Leviticus 19:19, and Deuteronomy 22:11 for one) bans the wearing of mixed fibres, shellfish, pork, and black pudding (blood). Let he who is without sin cast the first stone and all that.
Err, and God is love and we're all created in his image?
