Unusual date today. 2/4/16
The month is the square of the day and the year is the square of the month. That must be unusual or worth celebrating don't you think?
As you were...
|
those b***** Americans did it back in February!
|
Unusual for them to be early for anything significant...
|
Never noticed til you mentioned it. A fan of, a place for everything and everything has a place? ;)
|
A real pedant would have posted this at 01:41:23
|
Ah right !

Only friendly fire!

Twas the same during the world cup 2014, in their game with Germany they were due to kick-off at 1940 but they didn't show up 'till 1943.

Good spot, Humph. I presume most of us were about on the last 3.9.81, but are unlikely to see the next one.
If you use the full notation, with leading zeroes for the months, the last date without a repeated digit was 25.06.1987. The next, I think, will be 17.06.2345.

Last square one was 01/01/01 surely?
I'm quite worried I thought of that.

I have a life.....of sorts !
|
I used to get a tiny pleasure from palindromic date days.
Let me think....
10.11.01
11.11.11, was a nice one. It was the same whichever way you went at it. simple pleasures for.........

Seem to remember 27/11/72 being pointed out at school as last such occasion in that decade.
|
you are a weird and sad bunch
|
I can still remember how thrilling it was the day my car odometer reached 123321...
Anyway off up a Welsh mountain now, may be a while.
;-)

I got a little buzz when I came out one morning and found mine was bang on 100,000.
|
Mine was 40,297. By an amazing coincidence it was the same as the night before!

And if you add those digits together the result comes to exactly 22, the number of players on a pitch during the 1966 World Cup final!
This is getting eerie.
