When you get back have a look at the Smokey and the Bandit film where the Snowman drives his truck over the biker gang's bikes. De-stressed truck driver.

I've opted out of the road rat race and bought a Prius. Instead of trying to get there first I now let everyone pass me by and actually look forward to sitting in traffic, knowing that when I'm stood or moving slowly on electric power I'm using no fuel. There's no gears and clutch to fiddle about with and it's silent. :0)

Hang a cow bell on the front to give the pedestrians a chance. :-)

I wish they were all like you Kithmo. More and more Priuses in this town are apparently driven by trainee getaway drivers these days. One often has to be quite firm with them.

why are they all white?

Do you mean the Priuses or the trainee getaway drivers? Whatever: they aren't all white (although quite a lot of new Priuses are).

The priuseseseses, not the trainee getaway drivers.

You want to de-stress?

put this on your mp3 player and listen to it as you drive.

Too jangly for me, I would think all my suspension springs had broken. Classic FM for me.

I crank up all 32 speakers in my ICE system including the special groundshaking woofers in the boot, and put on the first line of the plaintive ballad Plaistow Patricia, by the late great poet and singer Ian Dury and his fine band the Blockheads. I've got it on a loop so it just repeats over and over again, nearly always appropriately to the driving conditions.

Really destresses me and I like to think everyone else in earshot. It's relaxing to be put in your place.

For a knob, you have the touch of the peasant about you.

I will take that as a compliment in the context Zeddo.

New Boots and Panties among your collection then?

It's true that line is fairly memorable once you've heard it a few times. Got to be good for the mimser soul though.

This one always works for me. However stressed it brings a smile to my face and I'm soon tapping the steering wheel.

Here in Sunderland, so many motorcyclists, even on narrow 50cc machines, dutifully join the back of the queue at roundabouts and traffic lights. This completely negates any time-saving and stress-busting achievable by commuting by motorcycle.
The REAL 2 wheel stress-buster has to be the bicycle. If you take into account time wasted parking and walking to your destination, then, in my experience, journeys of up to 3 miles or even more in Sunderland are quicker by cycle than powered vehicle. The other payoff is that you burn off anger and adrenaline through the exercise.
