I have decided to refrain from shaving for the month of November to collect money for a charity.
Is it worth setting up a Just Giving page?

so kind of "get sponsored for not doing something" ?
|
I've already started - Moustache...sort of 70s Porn Star look.

I went to Dublin for a week last October, hand luggage only so didn't take razor blade.
Didn't shave all week cos I wasn't buying a new razor.
Haven't shaved since then other than a fortnightly trim of the beard!

You can take a razor as hand luggage as long as its a cartridge type - not cut throat
|
What is this "razor" thing you speak of? ;-)

Fortnightly!! .. I trim my beard nigh-on every day. In fact I probably spend more time poncing about wivvit than most sheeple do shaving.

Mine has gone past the itchy stage...

Sandals?

Dunno how true it is,didn't see the programme, but I was told tonight that a geezer who does the odd thing round here, with a cocky little hat, was once on the Hairy Bikers' programme dazzling them with grubs, smoked stoat and so on.
Knowing the cat and valuing him I can well believe it.

Eh?
Just a thought, AC: these lost posts you keep complaining about couldn't be things like this one, that you've simply posted in the wrong place, could they?
|
Perhaps there are equally baffling posts on numerous other forums, some of them intended to have been directed here?
If one could gather up all these orphans and string them together in the right order a coherent trend might emerge?
:)
|
I was looking for a project.

I shouldn't hold your breath.

BEARDS are the connection or association. Is topic drift falling out of favour?
|
Those who mock should remember that getting older is actually happening to them too.

We're not mocking the signs of ageing, Pat - well, I'm not anyway. AC's contributions here are richly entertaining, informative and humane, and are the last thing I'd mock. But he will insist on telling us how capable and competent he is - how his Special Powers mean he can drive (too) fast, under the influence or without an eye test because he'll know when it's time to hang up the stringbacks.
And yet he gets lost between typing and pressing Post in this footling backwater of a forum, then barks at the moon because of the mythical 'Pink Stripe of Death'. It jars with the arrogant Senior Road God persona he cultivates here, and that creates a balloon that invites pricking. So there you are: I'm not a mocker, I'm a prick.
};---)

>> I'm not a mocker, I'm a prick<<
I have silently said that for sometime:)
AC is like me, his driving skills are far better than his computer skills.
Simple really, but after being called old and cantankerous at the weekend who am I to judge?
Bet they won't call me it again though:)
