Sir Nicholas Winton, who organised the rescue of 669 children destined for Nazi concentration camps, has died aged 106.

Absolutely agree - a truly great human being! Last year, my wife and I went over to Prague and the Czech Republic for a few days; our guide, who was from Prague, waxed lyrical about Sir Nicholas and his deeds.

This is the type of person that honours should be reserved for, and not be given to the likes of Cherie poxy Blair or some t*** who is overpaid for kicking a ball around a field.

He was honoured by many nations, but not, curiously, Israel. His jewish origins (name previously Wertheim) precluded his being named as Righteous among the Nations.
