I was going Eastbound on the M27 this morning just past Fareham with backed up traffic in the opposite direction although now moving the further I went. However just before the build up of traffic there was a Police patrol car operating a rolling roadblock in the center lane and in the outside lane a bit further back lots of blue lights which turned out to be two silver/fluorescant Police Range Rovers escorting a blacked out Mercedes van/people mover.

Either politicians or Royals I would think.

One morning last year I was joining the M4 elevated section from the A4 in West London when a police motorbike swung from the main carriageway onto the slip road and brought me to a halt. A convoy of police cars escorting seven or eight black Mercedes Vitos and Range Rovers then rocketed past on the M4, after which the police bike rode off to catch up. It was when Chancellor Merkel was in town, as that day's discussions at Dorneywood were the main headline on the evening news.

The specialist is taking a week off to see his aged aunt. But he's agreed to do the toerag's toe for a considerable extra consideration. It's all taxpayer's money isn't it?
