hi room, one of the lads at work had a bit of a scrape reversing out into another vehicle who was also reversing out in the works car park ... he thinks its 50/50 but tuther driver wants to make a claim
for one i explained its on private property and insurance wont want to know
and should best lick there wounds and walk away
hes a good hard working chap but at a young age his insurance premiums are high as it is
can anyone throw any light on his best approach and course of action to take...zoo

In what sense? That the usual obligation to report an accident doesn't apply? I wouldn't report it anyway.
Nothing to stop either driver claiming, from the third party or their own insurer if comp.
If the other party insists on putting a claim in, it will end up with two premium increases by the sound of it. (Might be worth pointing out to the other party that protected NCD won't stop his/her premium going up).
