I popped down to the local mall (Horrid US word but...) yesterday, and stuck the kids in to watch some show at the cinema.
Me and SWMBO went out and clobbered the shops, buying tons of stuff, shoving it in the car, and fetching the sprogs after 2 hours.
Got some lovely Stilton - a day past its 'best before' date, at a knock-down price, but I digress.
Went to the bookshop, and 'er indoors went off to buy some books and magazines. The store chap I spoke to said he'd spent 40 minutes on Saturday chatting about the latest releases to some punter, explaining what was good and what wasn't, only to have said punter whip out his iWhatever tablet, and download the lot from Amazon.
Unbelievable - I would have kicked the guy in the nuts rather hard.
