Useful bit of information I found on new motorway laws brought in this year - www.centralcontracts.com/news/how-to-avoid-being-caught-out-by-new-motorway-regulations-10881
Was anyone else aware of this as I had no clue?

Yes.. discussed on news at teh time..

Not really a new law as regards offences. Just that police can now give you a fixed penalty notice for careless driving.

Phew! I thought there might have been changes, but there haven't of course. Nothing new there.
The article did say one good and important thing: in effect, that the dangerous crap driving so often seen on motorways is a result of motorway driving not being included in the driving test, so that 'bad habits are passed on from one driver to another'.
It would be better if those drivers avoided motorways altogether, like a West Indian woman friend of mine who is terrified of them. God knows they will be bad enough on ordinary roads, bad cess to them, poor darlings, too pathetic...

Welcome Paul.
They are, in the main, friendly!

Seconded - and if you have any questions about anything, all are helpful! :-)

How to enforce these motorway laws? Is this a gimmick?
