Is it just me or have others found the internet really slow today? This site seems to be ok but some others are taking ages to load or won't load at all.

Just speculating that it's all the internet shopping overloading things?

Could be. I am two miles from a rural exchange and at the end of a 2 mile copper wire so fast internet is not a concept with which I am familiar!

Fast today if anything.

Geezer across the road had his telephone pole and a couple of walls knocked over in an early-hours crash. That was two weeks ago. Pole was sorted a week ago, many BT vans there today to restore his telephone service. I was half expecting the necessary fiddling to knock out my fragile ADSL link, but maybe I've got some benefit.

Ah here it is ! I never look in here much. Catatonia city. Anyway, seems ok now, must be my steam driven netbook. As soon as I switched to my ipad it was fine. I never think to use the ipad for this malarky normally.
