Last night I arrived at Euston to discover my mobile was missing. Thought I'd left it on my desk and used 'spare' that lives in my bike pannier.
Just as train gets into Northampton my daughter rings to say some guy had called her after finding phone in Horseguards Road*. Rang him back myself and he turned out to be a cycle courier and said he'd drop it off at office when, as it would, work took him to Wetminster (I'll leave that typo as it fits today's leaden sky!!).
Five minutes ago he rang to say he was outside. Young black guy grins at me and hands phone over. Thanked him profusely and gave him a tenner to have drink on me tonight.
*I was riding with a pair of MTB tyres for The Lad's Uni bike bandolier fashion and I suspect one of them caught under phone and flicked it off my belt.

Begs the pun "Good call" I suppose !
Re the tyres bandolier style, could be a market for that as cheap body armour.
