Seem to remember we had a similar service on the Queen Elizabeth bridge at Dartmouth. I suppose it makes sense if you really can't handle heights.

Amazing the guy who has been using their service twice a day for 10 years. I'd have thought familiarity would have got him over the fear by now.

Thread drift alert. The building of the Chesapeake Bay bridge/tunnel was featured in an ancient National Geographic I was given as a child by an uncle. The whole project was fascinating but I was much more taken by the adverts for American cars and trucks that were also featured. In those days NG was published worldwide, with no regional differences in content.
