On a Sunday morning, at that time, I was Comfortably Numb.
I'll get my coat.

Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise.
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this
maze?

Indeed my very thoughts, I can only stay awake for about 5 minutes of this 17 minute funeral dirge.

That track was "Dogs" from Pink Floyds Animals album, the "Dogs", representing fervent capitalists.
The "Pigs", symbolizing political corruption, and the "Sheep", who represent the exploited.
Croskery described the "Sheep" as being in a "state of delusion created by a misleading cultural identity", a false consciousness.
The "Dog", in his tireless pursuit of self-interest and success, ends up depressed and alone with no one to trust, utterly lacking emotional satisfaction after a life of exploitation.

All very odd but I did find the Wizard of Oz references quite amusing.
Just as an aside; the wailing singer on "The Great Gig in the Sky" went to the same school as my son.

The Wikipedia entry suggests it is quite staid. Quite from it according to my son (now left). They are very keen on sponsoring the arts and have bursaries for arts and drama students. Joanna Lumley provides an arts scholarship for the school.

Quite enjoyed it though, even though I wont admit to understanding it all!

No, I had to switch it orf after just 15 mins, as it didn't work for me, I like the music, and I wouldn't mind listening to the play but, the two together just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

OK, I gave it another go, it's full of philosophy, ethics, and morals so, if that's your bag it's still available to listen to:
