We are off to Worcestershire for a weeks holiday soon, a place called Bishops Frome near to Worcester. Never been to this area before so any suggestions as to what to do & where to eat etc would be much appreciated.

Dont get lost for a start. Bishops Frome is in Herefordshire, not Worcester.
Leominster & Castle, The Malverns, Hereford Cathedral and the chained library, (mapa mundi), the morgan factory (book) Severn valley railway, worcester ceramics museum

At random the Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral

While there, the Butter Market in Hereford if you like Victorian buildings.
Ledbury is pleasant on market days, Tuesday & Saturday IIRC.
If I need shoes, I bargain hunt at Herring Shoes in Ross on Wye if I'm near.
If you're in the National Trust, or even if you're not, you'll be near Brockhampton Estate - nice old manor house, though quite small, and some good walks. Croome is also nearby at Great Malvern, quite interesting and an unusual 1940s NAAFI canteen style caff for the tea and pee. And there's a restored 17th century merchant's house in Worcester, called Greyfriars House.
Pubs I have liked - the Live and Let Live, Bringsty Common; the Nag's Head, Bank Street Malvern; Three Kings, Hanley Castle (the first two for proper beer and food, the last for time travel to an earlier age.

Don't forget the Foley Arms in Great Malvern.

Had a steak there last year. Wasn't bad, and the accompanying pint was included in the very moderate price.

Foley Arms is a Wetherspoons so you will like the food and beer but maybe not your fellow drinkers!

Sadly the nearest Wetherspoons is in Leominster, nearly ten miles away!

In Monmouth, about eight miles from Abergavenny there is a fine hotel with well kept beer, good value food and comfy beds here:-
