Caught this on f-i-l PC last night. Have got rid of it - had to make an Ubuntu boot CD and remove it that way, as it has disabled the safe mode boot somehow. It has also changed the admin rights on the user account somehow so that although it says Admin, it is not really. Tried lots of Google searches, but have not found the correct reference to either of the registry keys that need to be corrected to fix these. Anyone (Zero or Rattle I guess...!) any idea?

That explains something: I have been busy reinstalling Windows 7 on my laptop, and tried to name a new account as administrator, and computer said - already in use, go away (or words to that effect).

XP... I think actually it's only related to msconfig - gives an error if you try to do anything, but doesn't actually seem to stop you doing it! Created another account as administrator, and it's the same.... just ignore it I think!
