Volkswagen Polo III - coolant dilemma - zookeeper
hi gang.. ive noticed my coolant is slightly below minimum in the plastic ressy... being a VW they specify not mixing blue anti freeze with red anti freeze or was it the other way around?
anyway mine is a browny rust colour, apart from a complete drain down and refill what should i top up with...thanks

I'd gamble it needs G12 (the pink stuff).

Or, you could try mixing a bit of the existing coolant (which sounds like it needs changing anyway) with some new outside the cooling system and see if it turns to jelly...

Given that, you'd want to do anything other than a full draindown and refill why exactly??

Anything after 2001 is likely to be pink OAT stuff. Or you could go the Prestone route: tinyurl.com/72ohrfz
