Misunderstood Hashtags. - Bromptonaut

Report in today's Guardian that for a time yesterday Twitter was awash with tributes to the singer Cher.

Users had misread the hashtag 'Thatcher is dead' as 'That Cher is dead'.

Gave me a giggle on the train in to town.

Eek, their drivers had to be on piece rates and driving un-restricted trucks. Made the 'Hell Drivers' look like choirboys.

I remember being harried by one when I was a passenger in a swiftly driven Range Rover - the driver could not understand how he could not pull away from them!

Knowles Transport and running into all the north Leicestershire and Warwickshire mines.

It was my first job and I was told in no uncertain terms that I either did it or I was shown the gate. Jobs for a female with no experience took some getting, so I did as I was told.

No chance!

I knew if I could stick a couple of years working for a firm with their reputation, I'd never want for work in the Fen again, and I haven't!

I started for them just after the lorry drivers strike and he told his drivers the same thing....so they all kept working:)
