Strangely another iced orange juice will be great just now.
I remember the 2000E well as Dad agreed a trade in of Mum's K-reg Escort 1300 Estate for a brand new metallic bronze 2000E auto in the Ford dealers.... I reckon it would have been an M reg?? I remember the very light coloured soft velour interior with the real wood dash and door cappings.... a big improvement over the high gloss plastic seats and so so fake vinyl wood of the GXL.
Just before the 2000E was due to be ready the salesman phoned and said he'd made a mistake on the model of our Escort and given a too high trade in... it would have to be reduced by a fair amount. The old chap said something along the lines of yes you have made a mistake... so I'm pulling out of the deal... left the dealer with the 2000E pre-registered.
