To Mars? www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-21603490

I've asked 'the wife', but she's not over-fond of the idea for some reason, whereas I am.

We'd be together for about 1.5 years, cooped up in a pressurized cabin along with 1,360kg of dehydrated food
(veggie burgers?) and 28kg of toilet paper.

I'm up-4-it ... but are you?

Mine won't go either. I did wonder about the food. And I suppose it would mean missing Pointless and doing without the Telegraph crossword.

For a couple who like a bit of space.

The crew who recently re-enacted Shackleton's epic voyage in a small boat said it was like 6 people living in the back of an estate car.

Yes, not to mention Big'eads as it is known here.

I'm dead serious BTW - how old is middle aged though, I read yesterday that 70 (ish) is the new 30.

Of course, I'd have to think about changing my diet b'cos you wouldn't want to be cooped-up with me for 1.5 hours,
let alone 1.5 years!

:o)

The only question I would have is: how do you safely throw a dead body into space?

Actually mad f, I'd rather be discarded in space than fiddled about with to see what I died of and then incinerated,
or buried under 6ft of soil.
