IIRC there have been two or three incidents in last 5 years or so where foxes have either entered property or bitten children outside in prams. I suspect cats, never mind dogs, cause far more injury.

Oddly, although we're surrounded by open country and foxes crossing the road are a common sight in the lanes I've never seen one in the village.
Probably better pickings from fast food thrown from cars into hedge bottom then from scraps outwith the villagers' wheely bins.
