Number plate must be worth a monkey.
|
Won't it have to be re-registered if it's been stored since 1960?
|
Doesn't the Monkey require an MOT young man??
|
If it was updated onto the computerised register in early 80's then number could be sold on, but, yes, would need MOT first. If not reg, then will have to prove to DVLA that car and number are linked (hence question about tax disc on auction), if they agree then it will be non-transferable. Otherwise it will get an age related non-transferable number.
An interesting project, it might be 'rust free' but it wants a lot of recommissioning!

From those photos, it didn't look rust free or really as described. You would need a close, long look.

This has been on the Jowett Club site. Every month, one of our members does a roundup of Jowetts for sale.
It does seem a sound car...If someone gets it for a few hundred quid I think they'll have a good project. It's actually a late 1948 car, the grille and rear bumper are wrong but that's not a problem.
Not for me though, I've got enough on . I was seriously tempted to sell all my Javelin stuff and buy this a month or so ago.

A 1926 four seater. Wife and common sense led to a no vote, sadly. It was only a click short of £16k as well. It's now in Hong Kong, I believe.

Nice car Teddy but, for practical porpoises I'd rather ave your Javelin.
|
I wonder if Bernie and Mario want it?

Great minds think alike NoNameMan.
