I read some of the free preliminary stuff on Amazon, before the porn starts. It was very well honed and looked like being a very well crafted work by a conscientious author. I went no further but was interested by a comment from an acquaintance. She had read half of the first part but gave it up because she found it too boring.

If you have half a brain (no offence Pat), then it's badly written with a very weak plot. I know a girl who read all three books (having downloaded all three to the Kindle up front). She did finish it, but only by skipping the *** scenes...

"The world seems united in determination to get through the damn thing, comforted by the solidarity of communal effort – like the Blitz, ................."!
Victoria Coren doesn't look old enough to have experienced The Blitz.

Mrs. DP read the first book and dismissed it as "Mills & Boon for S&M fans" and another word that the forum swear filter will object to.
Never bothered with the others.

With respect Mapmaker, I don't think the vast majority of women who read that book do so because of how well it is written!
