Got the car back from a service yesterday and it was pointed out that there was uneven wear on the inside of the driver's side front tyre. True enough there was.
The passenger side front is similarly worn but not to the same extent.
The car failed it's first MOT in 2008 on this same issue with the original Michelin Pilots at 22k. I bought a pair of Avon ZV5s and put them on the rear and the partworn rears on the front in order to pass.
The current front tyres (also Avons) are a year old and have only done 7k.
The car is solid as a rock at all speeds and doesn't display any wandering or wobble. The internet suggests this kind of wear is due to negative camber.
Guess my first port of call should be an alignment/tracking check at my tyre fitter but what if that turns out to be OK?
Thoughts please.
Thanks.
