Looks like the C pillars stopped it. Good job it wasn't a drophead. And how little damage to the rear after punching a hole in the wall.

Ralph Huson, 67, managed to get his foot stuck between the brake and the accelerator as he attempted to reverse his white C-class into a space in the Bank of America building's car park in Tulsa.
How good of him to take the blame for his wife ;o)

Looking as closely as I could, I couldn't see much evidence on the car of damage though - you'd have thought going through a brick wall (of which there's evidence below, although the car park wall looks more of the curtain variety..) would have at least caused dents, scratches & light breakage. Odd or marvellous - depending on your point of view I suppose.

My theory is that he went in forwards. Reversing in the carpark is just a cover story.
