Judging from the crowds watching what looks like a relatively benign autotest, I'd not be surprised if it wasn't an RAC rally. Before the advent of special stages, autotests did form parts of the rally. Reply to this message | Report message

The only clues I have the photo originated from Denbighshire and the car is Swansea registered - it does have the look of Swansea to be honest.. Reply to this message | Report message

I posted this on behalf of a colleague of a friend, I noticed the date taken as well and surmised that the photo had been photographed rather than scanned. I thought it might be city hall in Cardiff.. Reply to this message | Report message
