... and it's quite embarrassing, as I use the phone for work.
It's a Samsung Omnia 7 running Windows Phone 7, and T-Mobile have over-ridden the search function in the browser to direct you to their site, where they show ads.
Unfortunately, the leading banner is invariably something flogging, uh, "erotic content", and I've already had some difficulty explaining this to colleagues who have used my phone and seen it!
Everyone's too familiar with targeted ads based on your browsing habits, if you know what I mean.
How do I make it stop before the rumours spread far and wide?

download a version of Opera and stop using 'web&walk'
Thats what I have done with my Nokia, originally for the reason you mention, but have found it is a better browser anyway!

I have the opposite problem on my Three phone...
It categorises any website containing even the mildest profanity as "18 - restricted". Trouble is, I like to read internet messageboards on b3ta and humourous motoring news on sniffpetrol, both of which bring up the "18 - ADULT - HOT HOT HOT PICS - BUY IT NOW" etc page...
You try explaining that to the Three store employees.
