It's a Samsung Omnia 7 running Windows Phone 7, and T-Mobile have over-ridden the search function in the browser to direct you to their site, where they show ads.
Unfortunately, the leading banner is invariably something flogging, uh, "erotic content", and I've already had some difficulty explaining this to colleagues who have used my phone and seen it!
Everyone's too familiar with targeted ads based on your browsing habits, if you know what I mean.
How do I make it stop before the rumours spread far and wide?
