Seem to remember we had a similar service on the Queen Elizabeth bridge at Dartmouth. I suppose it makes sense if you really can't handle heights.

Has the Queen Elizabeth bridge moved?

Several inches in a high wind! Sorry, couldn't resist...
CGN meant Dartford but put another place beginning with 'D'.

Well spotted. Just testing your observation ;-)

What a pleasant young lady doing the driving.
Amazing the guy who has been using their service twice a day for 10 years. I'd have thought familiarity would have got him over the fear by now.

Maybe it's familiarity with the pleasant young lady doing the driving.

Never mind that, SWMBO can't stand the Pont du Robinet in France, not too high but checked its history after our first crossing and it has been washed away twice!

Thread drift alert. The building of the Chesapeake Bay bridge/tunnel was featured in an ancient National Geographic I was given as a child by an uncle. The whole project was fascinating but I was much more taken by the adverts for American cars and trucks that were also featured. In those days NG was published worldwide, with no regional differences in content.
