...There are no "about us" or "contact us" pages...

Fair point, it might put off some prospective new members from joining.

And those of us who are already here have no one to contact with queries, such as why posts are deleted.

Not that that would ever happen to a post of mine, of course.

I imagine the 'about us' and 'contact' pages will appear in due course.
