Anyone apart from Rattle and BobbyG interested in Android phones. e.g. why I got one instead of an iPhone? What I like about the Samsung Galaxy S - not all Android phones are identical in the UI department with some minor differences. Also about some good apps I've come across, using the beta version of Google Navigation (it does not use as much data as you'd think so must have cached the route before I started)....
The Samsung Galaxy S is also very light. But with dual core 1GHz CPU it can eat the battery. I've found it better on GSM/GPRS and not hunting for 3G and also letting it always connect to wifi at home instead of turning off wifi. GPS can eat battery too but I can use an external Bluetooth GPS which is more sensitive too (there's an app for that).
