I’ve never tried to phone DYS....as you know they are a car rental middleman, not a car rental company. I must have had at least 50 bookings with them over the past 6 years, probably a whole lot more.
I always book a rental company which offers free cancellation, and DYS have been exemplary in refunding my cancellations within 24 hours onto my Revolut card. But I don’t cancel until I’ve made a replacement (cheaper) booking with DYS !
Hope I never have to phone them, not that I knew you could...I thought all communication was via email.
