Update.

Doggo was never a problem with my Grandson although of course they were kept apart. He's not yet walking or crawling but that's not far off.

Unfortunately the Spaniel has been less accommodating of adults. Mentioned his snapping at Mrs B upthread and last Christmas he did same with my son's GF. She's been brought up with dogs in the house and even though she approached him the right way he drew blood.

Subsequent work with a 'dog whisperer' seemed to be working and he was definitely calmer when we were up there a few weeks ago for grandson's birthday.

All changed this week. Daughter was away overnight Wednesday for work and neighbour came around c22:00 to keep listening watch on grandson while my son in law took dog round the block for evening constitutional. She tried to say Hi to the dog and he took a lump out of her hand.

He was euthanased yesterday.

D and son in law are heartbroken but recognise there was no realistic option.
