We bought a 6-year-old, 60,000 mile Yaris Hybrid Sport in May. It gets 54mpg on a mix of town crawling and 10-mile dual carriageway commutes. The radio/nav isn't that intuitive but it goes loud enough for Mrs Dave, which is all that counts. The Sport trim gives you black C pillars, LED DRLs and everything from the Icon except cruise control.
Interestingly, by having it serviced at the Toyota main dealer it gains a 12-month full manufacturer's warranty, renewable at each service until the car reaches 10 years old or 100,000 miles. The hybrid system warranty goes to 15 years too, which shows confidence in the product.
