UC has been coming through but has just been reduced / sanctioned.
Mate had an interview booked this morning - not quite sure why as he is unfit to work.
The interview was supposed to be on the phone. Fine. This was confirmed in a telephone call before Xmas.
With him, I logged in to his account yesterday and it said he needed to be at the job centre at 9:30AM.
Yesterday I called on his behalf, with him to go through security - breathing trouble make it difficult for him to have a long conversation - to check and double check if this was going to be a phone interview or at the job centre - again told it would be over the phone.
This morning, no call came (they always call you) and the phone has been clear.
There is a significant monetary sanction on his account for not attending the interview at the job centre!
I am trying to believe this is attributable to Heinlein's Razor; "You have attributed conditions to villainy that simply result from stupidity." but I am struggling.
