I had this problem last year.
A rack full of fairly good quality gear 2 or 3 decades old + speakers taking up lots of space. Rarely used as modern tech - music downloads, DAB etc had passed it by on the road to obselesence.
Now have one box + sound bar that does everything, no need to store 12" LPs, and CDs likely to go the same way soon.
No real value so I didn't both going through the hassle of trying to find a sale. Gave it to British Heart Foundation (or charity of choice) for the sake of the few ££ I may have got on ebay!
