I seem to recall some insurers threw £25 back at policy holders automatically last year, some did if you asked, and some didn't do anything.
I'm with LV and they kept (and keep) saying "if you have suffered financially let us know", but I'm not sure whether doing so triggers a refund on premium, or whether they just offer you some sort of extended credit at a million percent or something.
I think you had to prove your loss with payslips or some such, not just ring up for free money.
