Do dog paws lose grip? - martin aston
We have very slippery kitchen flooring and have had a number of visiting dogs. Without exception the young ones have no problem but some older dogs do a Bambi impersonation. I suspect its nothing to do with their paws but more of a balance and/or joint issue where they can't make the instinctive micro adjustments necessary to keep steady on a slippery surface.
Bit like a person needing a safety handle on the wall by their bath.
