It is surely pretty simple, and much like running a pub;
There is a style that suits people you would like to be your customer and a style that does not.
There is a style of person you wish to be your customer, and a style that you do not.
So you run a pub in a way that you think will fit your preferred style of customer and that will not encourage the style you do not want.
Your potential customers are free to chose any pub, and any number of pubs.
If you get it right, then you will have plenty of customers, if not, then not.
There is no right or wrong, no whining about loyalty and no amount of churlish comment will make any positive difference.
If you're right Pat, then C4P will flourish. If not, then not. Its all finger in a bucket of water stuff anyway.
And whatever happens, there is little point in blaming your customers either for their presence or their absence.
Things will work out how they work out. Plenty of room for everybody.
