Stylish but remarkably thick.

I've no reason to think my cuckcoo clock is anything special, but there are two non-violent ways of stopping it cuckooing. The little door that opens and lets the bird pokes its beak out and sing though has a wire stop. Don't allow the door to open and the bird is silent, not one irritating cheep.

The other, is the cuckoo mechanism is driven by a separate weight, and jamming this will also stop the birdsong.
