I'd test the power line adapters to make sure a decent signal reaches the shed before spending money. You could plug in a wifi capable router to provide Internet access for phones, tablets etc. You'd probably want to switch off the DHCP server on the router unless it's a cable router (so has a WAN port) and you're going to set it up to have a separate LAN subnet for the shed.
