Unfortunately NHS dentistry is under-funded and the the dental laboratories price of, say, a decent crown or bridge can often exceed what a dentist is paid by the NHS - which is why: 1. They have to find other work or not do it at all. 2. Get the dental lab work done in Turkey or China, with consequential affects on the quality (?).
My wife is a dentist, so I get the work done for free! But as I have to remember to be nice to her for weeks before-hand so that the experience is pain-free, I sometimes think it would be easier to go NHS!
