 Volvo S40 - Uneven tyre wear - centre of tread? - Auntie Lockbrakes
What causes the centre part of the tyre's tread to wear excessively (as opposed to the inner or outer edges)? My Old Man's just spotted this during the MOT. They are pricey 17-inch Michelins. They were not low on pressure, if anything over-pressurised. But if they were over-pressurised, wouldn't this cause the outer edges to wear out more quickly, not the centre? Any insight appreciated!
