At the risk of being labelled a miserable old sod, I got stuck at the back of a queue of traffic behind two old tractors and a trailer. Turns out it was "Farmers on Tour". They are travelling from Lands End to John o'Groats in these tractors and, from their own web site; "The trio plan to cover 100 miles a day at a speed of 15mph per hour". Oh joy. 15mph. On the A49. On the Friday before a bank holiday. Thanks guys. Still, by the time they reached Warrington it would be rush hour and they'd be going as fast as anyone else :-)
