Hello there,
I keep getting emails in my spam folder from my own email address. They all seem to be offering me an exciting new career and on the face of it appear to be harmless. I am worried, though, that my email account may have been hacked. How else can I be emailing myself without my knowledge?
Ta in advance.

Change your email password NOW!

I did that, but it's still happening. My password is *extremely* secure and very hard to guess. 'Spose I'd better change it again, just to make sure.

Set up a rule filter saying that if mail is from yourself then delete it.
I had to do this after the autobot spammers had a field day with one of my addresses.

Cheers Dave. One thing - how do I do that then? :-)
|
It just means your email address is on a list, and someone is spoofing outgoing mail.
Its no security threat. If it goes to your junk email filter its not a problem is it?

Depends how you access your email.
Online? Outlook Express? AN Other?
But if you look in message rules, or the options menu, it *should* be fairly straight forward.
