This has made my week a little bit because I've always said that macs can get viruses but people always just replied "But they don't". I've not had any jobs for this yet but a few of my fellow techs have.

It is actually very easy to remove but this could be the start of worse to come and most techs are charging quite a bit more for macs repairs.

This has probably ruined Apple's marketing a bit though, they can no longer really market it them as being virus free.

I should point out that this program is harmless and takes some effort to install. It isn't really a virus or a trojan in the traditional sense of the world, but it is malware. If people fall for it then and buy it then criminals have their card details.
