Does anything untoward happen if you run CCleaner whilst connected to t'internet?
|
Not that I have noticed. Maybe it cleans the internet at the same time.
One thing it does do is tell you there’s a new version available
|
It shouldn't make any difference - certainly doesn't on my system.
However it only advises you if a new version is available IF that is the case...:-))

I've recently switched to Auslogics BoostSpeed 5 SE in place of CCleaner - free of charge from Major Geeks and very effective without causing unnecessary problems:

I may well be wrong, but I think that certain items will not be 'CCleaned' if you run the programme while connected to the internet.
|
The vast majority of CCleaner users run the utility whilst they are connected to the Internet...:-)
Are you thinking of it being run whilst some programs or applications are in use?

Nail on head, Stuartli. I'm another less than perfect specimen. :-(
